COMSTOCK’S MAGAZINE: Promise For New Proteins:

Comstock’s Magazine is the premier monthly business publication in California’s Capital Region.

For 30 years, both online and in print, Comstock’s Magazine “has taken an analytical look at the movers, shakers and forces shaping the economic landscape of today and tomorrow”.

THE INNOVATION ISSUE:

Now, for their December 2020 issue, Comstock’s focus is on all things innovation. Their article titled “Promise for New Proteins” takes an in-depth look at the work being done in the alternative-protein space by our friends at The Better Meat Co. in Sacramento, among others.

The article also includes an interview with our company director Todd Robertson. Todd discusses RTC Foods Innovation early interest in the alternative protein sector, and how our research into the possibilities of a blended meat offering lead to us working with The Better Meat Co.

Fast forward to today, and RTC Foods Innovation have just launched our first blended product into the retail sector. A meatball with 100% Australian beef, lamb, or chicken, blended with added plant protein. Cooked in all natural sauces, they are ready to heat and eat. Our range of meatballs, launched under the +Plant brand, have less saturated fat, less cholesterol, and fewer calories, whilst maintaining the meat taste and texture consumers demand!
